Greetings, Wanderers of the Void!

As the moon waxes and wanes, so too does our journey through the development of Dreaded Wunder. March has been a month of relentless progress, and we're excited to share the latest happenings from the depths of our studio.

🎮 Dreaded Wunder Development Continues

This month has been all about momentum and building upon the dark foundations we've laid for Dreaded Wunder. The game is really starting to take shape now in ways that feel both terrifying and thrilling. We've been deep in the weeds, refining gameplay systems, squashing bugs (both literal and metaphysical), and shaping the experience into something worthy of the eldritch horrors it promises.

One of the biggest focuses for us lately has been the new intro scene. We want players to step into our world and immediately feel that unsettling pull—that creeping sense that something isn't quite right. It's not just about the visuals (though those are looking fantastic), but also about pacing, atmosphere, and storytelling. We’ve been carefully crafting every moment to make sure it leaves an impression long after the screen goes dark.

Beyond the intro, we've also been tinkering away at level layouts and plenty of behind-the-scenes systems to make the whole experience smoother and stranger. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s incredibly rewarding to see the pieces starting to fit together.

Meanwhile, the team has been working tirelessly to bring the void to life:

  • Dann has been hard at work crafting brand new character and monster assets, breathing strange and eerie life into the inhabitants of Dreaded Wunder.

  • Daniel has been deep in the shadows, refining and preparing the intro cutscene so everything is polished and ready for the new assets to be added in.

  • Alice has been busy behind the scenes, creating assets specifically for Daniel's intro cutscene, making sure everything is ready to seamlessly slip into place.

  • Ty has been hunting down bugs and lurking errors, tirelessly playtesting and ensuring nothing sinister slips through the cracks.

  • Ryan has been focused on animation, making sure every movement in the game feels right and bringing new animations to life that players will soon witness.

🧹 Team News: Rising from the Sickbed

Even as shadows of illness loomed over some of our team members, their unwavering dedication saw them push through the malaise. Their resilience has ensured that the momentum of Dreaded Wunder remains unbroken, and for that, we are immensely grateful.
