Reflecting on Our Tranzfuser Journey and Looking Forward to Dundev
As we wrap up the last few months of the Tranzfuser program, our team would like to extend a huge thank you to the Tranzfuser organizers and mentors. This experience has been incredible, providing us with opportunities to learn, create, and grow both personally and professionally. We are grateful for the connections we’ve built and the continuous support that has fueled our journey to bring Dreaded Wunder to life. Tranzfuser has opened so many doors for us, and we’re excited to keep pushing forward with everything we’ve gained.
Congratulations to Our Fellow Teams
We also want to send a massive congratulations to Moss Monkey, Hermit House, SoundCaster Studios, and VEXT GAMES for securing funding to support their projects! Seeing our fellow Tranzfuser teams achieve such amazing success has been truly inspiring. We’re proud to stand alongside such talented teams who share our passion for making unique and memorable games. It’s thrilling to know that the hard work and innovation from all of us are being recognized, and we can’t wait to see how their projects evolve in the months ahead.
Heading to Dundev in January
We’re equally excited to announce that we’ll be attending Dundev in January! Joining us on this trip are our friends from Tranzfuser: Tombstone Studios, Purr Point Productions, and 2023 alumni Rubber Ducky Snacks. This upcoming event is a great chance for us to continue learning, networking, and growing in a vibrant development environment. We’re eager to showcase Dreaded Wunder there and look forward to collaborating with these amazing teams, sharing ideas, and building on the foundations we established through Tranzfuser. Dundev promises to be an exciting chapter in our journey, and we’re thrilled to be able to experience it with these talented peers.
Putting in the Work Post-EGX
Following our participation at EGX, our team took a well-deserved break to recharge. The event was an intense, exhilarating experience, and it was incredible to showcase Dreaded Wunder for the first time to such an enthusiastic audience. The feedback we received has been invaluable, and we’re already implementing improvements based on the insights we gathered there. Since returning, our team has been hard at work refining the game, ironing out bugs, and polishing various elements to ensure it’s ready for the world to experience. We’re aiming to release a small demo on itch.io soon, allowing everyone to get a taste of the journey we’ve been on and the world we’re creating.
Behind the Scenes: Meet the Team Powering Dreaded Wunder
Our game, Dreaded Wunder, is truly a labor of love, and every team member has poured their passion and talent into making it something special. Here’s a look at the hard work everyone has been doing:
Dann, our lead concept artist and narrative designer, has been meticulously creating the rich world and characters that make up Dreaded Wunder. He’s been tirelessly sketching out concepts, designing intricate narrative details, and bringing the horrifiying characters of Dreaded Wunder to life with imaginative character models that capture the spirit and mystery of our world.
Alice has been working with unparalleled dedication, crafting each environment asset with a remarkable level of detail. Every piece she produces adds depth and immersion, giving Dreaded Wunder its unique and atmospheric setting. Alice’s commitment to quality ensures that every part of the game’s environment is carefully designed to draw players deeper into the experience.
Daniel has been combining his skills in set dressing, level design, and AI programming to create an engaging and immersive gameplay experience. His work on the game’s levels ensures that each area is thoughtfully arranged and challenging, allowing players to navigate through the world with intrigue and excitement. Not only that, but he’s been diligently programming the AI to add a sense of realism and complexity to the game’s interactions.
Ryan, our animator and business lead, has been juggling both creative and strategic responsibilities. His animation work breathes life into our characters and scenes, adding fluidity and emotion to the player’s journey. Simultaneously, Ryan has been handling the business side of our project, managing logistics, partnerships, and planning to keep Dreaded Wunder moving forward on every front.
Looking Forward: Our Next Steps with Dreaded Wunder
Our vision for Dreaded Wunder is to create an experience that combines rich storytelling, compelling gameplay, and a captivating world that players will love exploring. With our demo release on itch.io, we hope to gather even more feedback from the gaming community, which will allow us to refine and elevate the game even further.
Thank you again to Tranzfuser for this invaluable opportunity and to everyone who has supported us along the way. With the journey to Dundev on the horizon and the release of our demo, we’re more excited than ever to see where this path takes us. Stay tuned for more updates, and we can’t wait to share Dreaded Wunder with you all soon!
